Tabea Wächtler was born in Aachen in 1994. After graduating from high school, she studied media studies in Weimar from 2013 and completed her master's degree in film studies in Mainz in 2021. During her studies, she completed various internships at film productions and television stations and worked for ZDF as a student trainee from 2019. She then worked at ZDF as an editorial assistant before moving to Munich in July 2022 for the production traineeship at die film gmbh.
